Frequently asked questions
How does a bathroom remodel get started?
It starts with a free estimate. We visit your home, look at the existing bathroom, talk through what you want to change, and provide a written estimate for the work. It costs nothing, and it is the best way to get real numbers for your bathroom instead of guesses.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Once construction begins, most bathroom remodels take about 2 to 4 weeks. Tile work, custom glass, and layout or plumbing changes can add time, while a straightforward refresh of fixtures and finishes is usually on the shorter end. We give you an expected schedule before the work starts.
Can we use the bathroom while it is being remodeled?
The bathroom being remodeled will be out of service until the work is finished. If it is the only bathroom in the home, we talk through timing and options with you before starting so you can plan around it. Many homeowners schedule the work around a trip or rely on a second bathroom in the meantime.
Do bathroom remodels require permits?
Often, yes. Moving plumbing or electrical, or changing the layout, usually requires permits and inspections. We coordinate the permit process as part of managing the project, so the work behind the walls is done to code, not just the finishes you can see.
How much does a bathroom remodel cost?
Cost depends on the size of the room and the scope: tile, fixtures, vanity, and whether plumbing moves all change the number. Rather than quote a generic range, we provide a written estimate after seeing your bathroom in person. The estimate is free, and it reflects your actual space and choices.
Who will do the work on our bathroom?
Ashor Construction is family-owned, led by Edward Ashor with more than 20 years of experience, along with his sons Anthony and Nick. We manage the project and coordinate the licensed trades the work requires. We are licensed and insured, and we keep you informed at each step so you always know what is happening in your home.
